History has yet to create another act as unique as Joseph Pujol, better known as Le Petomane. His gift was a unique backside, which could take in and release air in measured increments thus producing amazing and humorous noises.
Based on a true story set around turn-of-the-century France, Le Petomane: Parti Avec le Vent follows the lives of two men: Joseph and Dr. Marcel Baudouin.
Dr. Baudouin was scientifically obsessed with Joseph's "instrument" and pursued him doggedly for many years, ultimately resulting in his undoing.
By the time "fin" is projected on the screen, Pujol has narrowly escaped death, found the love of his life and has secured his place headlining at the legendary Moulin Rouge.
